Maxwell Render
Maxwell Render™ is a rendering engine based on the mathematical equations governing light transport, meaning that all elements, such as emitters, materials and cameras, are derived from physically accurate models. Maxwell Render is unbiased, so no tricks are used to calculate the lighting solution in every pixel of a scene; the result will always be a correct solution, as it would be in the real world. Maxwell Render can fully capture all light interactions between all elements in a scene, and all lighting calculations are performed using spectral information and high dynamic range data.

Maxwell for Google SketchUp offers users the benefits of advanced rendering in a custom built, easy to use package- for FREE!
Maxwell for Google SketchUp is a self contained (standalone) package- it contains its own render engine designed for and fully integrated into SketchUp. No other application is launched when you render your scene, neither does it require export to any external application. So, besides the easy to use features of the plugin itself, there are no new interfaces to learn!
Maxwell Render Core
Maxwell Core™ allows software developers to license the Maxwell Render technology in order to create or extend their own applications with advanced visualization capabilities.
Maxwell Core™ provides a platform-an independent C++ API, for the integration of the Maxwell Render components. Unlike the classic plugin approach with the Maxwell Render Suite package- which requires a plugin to export the MXS (Maxwell Scene) to the external engine, the Maxwell Core technology remains inside the 3D or CAD application without external dependencies.
Next Limit Technologies has developed plug-ins to connect Maxwell Render to the most popular 3D and CAD applications. The advanced level of integration between Maxwell Render and the plug-ins allows users to stay within the comfortable and familiar environment of their application, while being able to output high-quality and photorealistic images with Maxwell Render.
Maxwell Render licenses can be used over the entire range of available plug-ins. For example, when you purchased Maxwell Render you started using it with the Rhino plug-in, but you would now like to switch to Maya. You can simply download the corresponding Maya plug-in and use the same license.
